Frequently Asked Questions
If you are having trouble with the Online Seminar Registration, please see if your problem is addressed below before contacting the Events team.
- When I try to submit my registration, I get an error message (or I can’t log onto the webpage at all).
You may experience these problems if you are trying to register from your school computer. School spam filters often hinder our website’s application process. Please try applying again from a home or library computer. If you are still experiencing problems, please check the information you are attempting to submit for apostrophes, or other punctuation; delete these items and click submit again.
- When will I receive confirmation that I’ve been accepted to the seminar?
Confirmation emails are sent to registrants within two weeks of the date of the seminar. However, shortly after you register you should receive an automated email confirming your successful registration, along with the date and location of the seminar you are registered for. If you do not receive this initial email or the confirmation email within the allotted time, please email Marianne Scott.
- I’m not a teacher or, I am a student teacher. May I come to the seminar?
Student teachers and Homeschoolers are always welcome at our seminars. However, we do ask that student teachers indicate their status in their registration. If your position does not fall into either of these categories, please email Marianne Scott to determine your eligibility.
- I just found out I can’t attend the seminar- can you send me the free curriculum anyway?
Unfortunately, the grants through which we conduct our seminars only permit us to provide curriculum to teachers physically present at the program. However, our copyright does allow photocopying for educational purposes. If you know of other teachers attending from your school, they are welcome to make copies of the material for you.
- How do I get information on directions, parking, or the schedule of events?
The confirmation email we send to registrants two weeks prior to the seminar will contain a link to our webpage with all these details. You can also find this link on the calendar page of our website at: http://www.billofrightsinstitute.org/news/BRIEvents. The webpage will be updated with these seminar details approximately two weeks prior to the seminar date.
- How do I find out if a seminar has been delayed or cancelled due to weather?
This information will be located on the same webpage as the seminar details. If you are concerned or have questions regarding the status of a seminar, please check this page. It will be your most up to date source of information on our seminar.
If you still have questions, please contact our events team by email.
