Upcoming Constitutional Workshops for Teachers
Find a Bill of Rights Institute Constitutional Workshop in your area! Our professional development programs are designed to include both content and pedagogy. At one of our day-long seminars, you will engage with leading academics on important constitutional principles, historical events, and Supreme Court rulings. Led by a Master Teacher, you will spend time with your fellow educators exploring ways to bring your knowledge to the classroom using Bill of Rights Institute materials and teaching strategies. Each participant in our one-day programs is given a professional development certificate showing completion of 6 contact hours of instruction. State and local requirements for continuing education credits vary widely, but we are happy to provide any documentation that a participating teacher may need to satisfy these requirements.
All workshops participants will receive:
- Complimentary breakfast and lunch
- A copy of our featured teacher-written curriculum
- A certificate for 6 hours of professional development
- The opportunity to network with local colleagues
- Bi-monthly email lesson plans to help current events come alive in your classroom
These workshops will be most applicable to teachers in grades 8-12. If you do not fall into this category, but would still like to attend, please email Laura Vlk.
All Bill of Rights Institute curricula and Constitutional Workshops are specifically designed to integrate with state standards.
