Who is eligible to attend Founders Fellowship?
Current social studies (history, government, civics, etc.) teachers of grades 7-12.
When is the application deadline?
Applications must be received by March 15, 2016.
What are the costs for the Founders Fellowship?
The Institute will cover program related costs including lodging, transportation, admissions and most meals once participants arrive at the program. The Institute will also provide a travel stipend to help cover these costs for participants.
Who funds Founders Fellowship?
The Institute is supported by more than 8,500 individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Their support is used to make Founders Fellowship possible.
Should I book a flight as soon as I apply?
Please wait to book a flight until you receive an acceptance from the Bill of Rights Institute with further directions.
What are the lodging arrangements during the program?
Participants will be housed at a D.C. area hotel where the majority of the programming will take place. Participants will be provided with single lodging.
What type of credits are provided for this program?
The Institute will provide all participants with a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program that details the number of Continuing Education Units (CEU) they have received. Participants are responsible to take these hours back to their school or district for re-certification. College credit will not be awarded.
