Being an American Today

 

Welcome to the homepage for Being an American Today. You should bookmark this page for easy access when trying to find new Being an American Today lesson plans.

Because the online lesson plan is only available to teachers who purchased the Being an American: Exploring the Ideals that Unite Us, Second Edition curriculum, you will need to verify that you own a copy of the book before accessing the lesson. You can confirm this quickly and easily by following the instructions below. You may wish to use our "Printer Friendly" option on this page, and keep it with your curriculum for easy access later.

 

Step 1: Activate your curriculum

Activating your curriculum is easy. Simply go to http://www.billofrightsinstitute.org/catalog/curriculum/app/ with a copy of the curriculum in-hand. You will be asked to provide the following pieces of information:

  • Email address - please remember which email address you use! It will be your login later.
  • Password - Select (and write down) any password you choose. You will need this to login later.
  • Access Code - This code is written in red letters on the last page of your curriculum. You will only need to enter it once.

Step 2: Accessing the lesson

Once you have activated your curriculum, all you need to do is select the lesson you wish to access from below. You will be prompted to Login and, using the information you just provided above, you will then be taken to the lesson you selected below. Feel free to print this lesson and use the online resources in the classroom.
