Education Programs Coordinator

The Bill of Rights Institute, a nonprofit educational organization, has an opening in June for an organized and creative individual to serve as the Education Programs Coordinator in our Arlington, VA. office. This position offers individuals with outstanding organizational skills the opportunity to work with students and teachers from around the country; to be on the leading edge of civic education initiatives; and to further the goals of civic education in a dynamic and growing organization.

Institutional Background

The Bill of Rights Institute seeks to educate students and teachers about the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights through programs which explore: What the Founders said; what the Founding Documents say; and how these ideas affect our daily lives and shape our society. To achieve this goal, the Bill of Rights Institute develops curriculum materials, provides professional development opportunities, offers student programs, and disseminates educational resources through the Bill of Rights Institute website.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and administer systems for all Education Programs travel needs
  • Coordinate national competitions
  • Collate materials and evaluations for teacher and student programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills:

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
