May 2001:

The BillofRightsInstitute.org website is launched to provide teachers with easy access to lesson plans and student activities.

With a straightforward layout as well as free lessons and suggested classroom activities, the website was the natural result of the Institute’s continuing growth.  Over the years, the site would grow from a few simple pages to a large, interactive website with audience-specific portals and a wealth of archived information.  By providing educators with online resources about the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the Institute has increased the knowledge of millions of middle and high school students annually.
