July 2003: The Institute launches its online catalog.
Launched with the intent of making information about curricular materials available at any time and from anywhere, the online catalog went live in 2003.  The catalog represented a commitment to using technology to bolster civic education. It has helped numerous educators learn about what the Institute offers, and enabled them to purchase educational tools conveniently.

The catalog has grown considerably since its start.  Today, the online catalog allows educators to purchase printed curricular materials, customized online lessons plans, and even register for online professional development courses.
